I just wanted to say what a beautiful, well run and organised school I think St Joseph’s is.Our son Raffaele misses the school, the staff and his friends so much, as do I! Having moved to Brisbane to a school which is of a similar size, it has once again shown me how much Gavin’s leadership really shines.
The ongoing communication at the school is exemplary and the community feel is second to none. I felt the need to share my appreciation for last year and to let you know what an incredible job I think you do with our young children and for families.
The students and staff and lucky to be part of such a great school!“

The decision to move our daughter to St Joseph’s School was an easy one due to the enviable reputation held throughout the Cairns community by the school, its leadership team and teachers.
Now having been associated with the school for over 12 months I can attest to some of the attributes of the school which are important to our family. Firstly, the school enjoys an excellent academic record with teachers and staff who care for the children’s wellbeing and advancement. Secondly, the importance placed on music, singing and the arts in general, not to mention sport and recreation provides for a balanced upbringing for our daughter. Thirdly, the hard-working P&F and parent groups that get involved with the school to support the school and its teachers in many varied ways as well as achieving important fundraising goals throughout the year for much needed school resources. Finally, the importance of having our daughter develop in an environment where Christian ideals are taught and encouraged which we believe is essential in the current world.
We have no hesitation in recommending St Joseph’s School to any parent or carer considering enrolling their child here.”

Education is the foundation of any child’s future – a strong primary education will set them up for a lifetime of learning, respect, dignity and inclusion. One of the biggest and best decisions we have made as a family was choosing St Joseph’s School for our children’s primary years.
The small but diverse co-ed school population was an immediate attraction. We have come to know the teaching staff as dedicated and passionate professionals who foster an environment where learning is expected yet each child is able to do so at his or her own pace. The leadership team is friendly and available, yet they stand their ground. Parent engagement is very strong, and the P&F and the School Board are passionate in their quest to assist the school in providing the best facilities, social events and learning tools.
We would certainly recommend St Joseph’s School to any parent or carer.”

The focus on social and emotional wellbeing of the students and staff made St Joseph’s a stand out school for us. We like how St Joseph’s achieves this through genuine partnerships.
It is inspiring to be involved with such a committed group of parents through the P&F and to have such an open and positive relationship with the school board, principal, teachers and the wider school community. There is a real feeling that everyone is working in a common direction for the benefit of our children. It is very rewarding as a family to be part of such a positive and pro-active school community that values diversity, and is so genuine about parent involvement in the school.
We feel very fortunate to be part of the St Joseph’s school community.”

At St Joseph’s our two boys are being given opportunities to grow, learn and become resilient young men. They will learn skills and knowledge that will help them enter into the next stage of their lives with confidence, high moral standards and a strong sense of community. We could not be happier with our choice of school environment for our boys.”
